Itinerary

Day 1Arrive in

Far ahead of other countries when it comes to technology and still embracing its culture and traditions, Japan is unlike any other nation in the world. Embark on a journey through the fabulous destinations of Japan on this holiday, starting with your arrival in Hiroshima. Once you reach Hiroshima, meet a MakeMyTrip representative, who will help you to board a coach for your shared transfer to your hotel. Known as the first city to be targeted with a nuclear bomb, Hiroshima is today one of Japan’s most popular tourist destinations. Check-in at the hotel, and head for dinner at an Indian restaurant. Afterwards, return to the hotel for a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 2Sightseeing in Hiroshima | Road Transfer to Osaka

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel in Hiroshima and head out for a city tour of Hiroshima. Explore the impressive Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park & Museum, which is dedicated to the legacy of Hiroshima as the first city in the world to suffer a nuclear attack. Visit the iconic Atomic Bomb Dome, one of the few original buildings that still remained standing after the devastating impact of the atomic bomb. This is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After a break to enjoy your lunch at an Indian
restaurant, take a 15 minute ferry ride to Miyajima Island, to visit the famous 12th century Itsukushima shrine, built over water with great technical skill. . You will be enthralled by how the shrine’s iconic torii gate seems to float on water at high tide. The shrine is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later, you will board a bus that will take you to Osaka. Known as Japan’s Kitchen, Osaka is a bustling metropolis with some exceptional eateries, vast shopping malls (mostly underground) and futuristic landmarks. When in Osaka, enjoy your dinner at an Indian restaurant and check-in at the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3Day at Leisure | Optional Tour: Universal Studio

After breakfast, you will have the rest of the day at leisure. During the free time, you could head for an excursion to Universal Studios (Optional activity at an additional cost). At this movie-based theme park, you could visit the Hollywood section, inspired by famous Hollywood movies. You could also visit the New York area to see the Terminator 2 movie and enjoy a Spider-Man themed roller coaster. Make a point to see the recreations from the enchanting wizarding world of Harry Potter and go for a walk in the halls of Hogwarts Castle. A packed Indian lunch will be available on this day, for those who have not opted for an optional tour and are spending the day at leisure. As the day comes to an end, enjoy your Indian dinner at a restaurant and an overnight stay in a comfortable hotel room .

Day 4Excursion to Nara | Sightseeing in Osaka

Wake up to a beautiful morning in Osaka and start your day with a delicious breakfast. Since your transfer in a Bullet train is scheduled for the next day, today you will be sending one big piece of luggage to Tokyo by courier. After breakfast, you will make your way to Nara (57 kilometers from Kyoto), known for being Japan’s first permanent capital. When in Nara, visit the Todaiji Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for featuring the world’s largest bronze statue of the Buddha Vairocana. Thereafter, head to Nara Deer Park to see 1,200 wild sika deer roaming freely. Mingle with these lovely creatures by feeding them deer crackers. In between, take a break to enjoy lunch at an Indian restaurant. Later, head back to Osaka and explore the city. Visit the majestic Osaka Castle, the city’s most famous landmark and an architectural marvel that underwent many reconstructions. Also see the spectacular Umeda Sky Building, a high rise building known for offering great views of the city through its windows and from its open-air deck. As the day comes to an end, enjoying your dinner at an Indian restaurant and retire to your hotel for an overnight stay. Bullet trains (Shinkansen Nozomi) allow passengers to carry only 1 small bag. If you’re carrying extra luggage, then please get in touch with your tour manager in Osaka to courier it to your hotel in Tokyo.

Day 5Road Transfer to Kyoto Station | Excursion to Shibuya Crossing

Today, after breakfast, you will check-out from the hotel in Osaka and embark on a drive to Kyoto. During the road trip, take a break at the famous Fushimi Inari Taisha, which is sacred to the God of rice and prosperity. The shrine’s multiple vermillion
torii gates make for a striking sight. After seeking blessings, continue your drive to Kyoto with a delicious packed Indian lunch. At the Kyoto Railway Station, you will be boarding a bullet train to Tokyo. The capital city of Japan, Tokyo plays host to centuries-old as well as cutting-edge modern architecture, colorful shops, tranquil gardens and gilded pagodas. Visit the Shibuya Crossing, which is believed to be one of the busiest streets in Tokyo. Thereafter, enjoy your dinner at an Indian restaurant. Check-in at the hotel for an overnight stay and don’t forget to pick up the luggage which you got sent by courier from Osaka.

Day 6 Excursion to Mt Fuji | Lake Ashi Cruise

Begin your day by relishing a delightful breakfast and make your way to Hakone. With the presence of hot springs, natural beauty, and spectacular mountain scenery dominated by Mount Fuji, Hakone provides a perfect escape from the hustlebustle
of the city life. Upon your arrival at Hakone, head for an excursion to Japan’s highest mountain – Mount Fuji (subject to weather conditions). You will make a stop at the Mt. Fuji 5th Station*, located at an altitude of 7,545 feet, and take-in sweeping, panoramic views of the countryside. Enjoy your Indian lunch during your bus journey. Then head to the shores of Lake Ashi*, located in the caldera of Mount Hakone, and enjoy a 15 minute cruise on the lake. From your vantage point on the scenic
lake, you could also catch a spectacular view of Mount Fuji. Finally, head to the Hakone Ropeway to enjoy a vantage view of the mountains. Having explored the natural beauty and cultural landmarks of the region, proceed to Hakone, from where you
will travel by coach to Tokyo. As the day comes to an end, enjoy your dinner at an Indian restaurant and relax in the comfortable hotel room.

Day 7Tour to Tokyo Sky Tree | Optional Tour to Disneyland

Start your day with a delicious breakfast and proceed for an excursion to Tokyo Sky Tree, which is considered one of the tallest self-supporting towers in the world. After marvelling at the views from the top of the Sky Tree, enjoy a delicious lunch and spend the rest of the day as you desire. If you’ve opted for an excursion to Disneyland (Optional tour at an additional cost), then you will get a drop-off at the Park. If not, then the shared coach will drop you at the hotel. While at the Park, you could visit Mickey Mouse and his friends in Toontown or explore futuristic technology in Tomorrowland. As the day comes to an end, enjoy
your dinner at an Indian restaurant and relax in the comfortable hotel room.

Day Departure

Today is going to be the last day of your holiday in Japan. After breakfast at the hotel in Tokyo, you will check-out and will be transferred to the airport to board the flight for your onward journey.
